There is many opinions online about the debate on Ethanol vs Ethanol Free gas. Before you decide the best thing to ask is what is the application?
A couple of the most common questions I see are:
Is the engine designed to handle ethanol gas?
Ethanol can have a corrosive effect on certain engine parts, particularly in older vehicles or small engines like those in lawnmowers, chainsaws, boats, or motorcycles. Using ethanol-free gas can reduce the risk of damage and help maintain optimal engine performance.
Will the motor sit for extended times without usage?
Ethanol-blended gasoline can be more susceptible to degradation during long-term storage, as it attracts water and can break down over time.
Is the motor high performance?
Ethanol can have a corrosive effect on certain engine parts, particularly in older vehicles or small engines like those in lawnmowers, chainsaws, boats, or motorcycles. Using ethanol-free gas can reduce the risk of damage and help maintain optimal engine performance.
In my experience, using ethanol free gas in our lawn equipment has provided reliability and extended the equipment lifecycle. What has been your experience with both types?
